Brings Industry and Foundation Knowledge, Consulting Expertise to Help Set ACCC’s New Directions in Fundraising
ROCKVILLE, Md.—The Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC) is pleased to announce that Robert B. Demske, JD, has joined the staff as the new Director of Development. Mr. Demske will oversee the Association’s growing marketing and business development efforts and seek to implement a new national fundraising strategy.
Mr. Demske has extensive experience in fundraising for non-profit associations, including the Washington Lawyers’ Committee, the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington, and the National Jewish Coalition.
Most recently, he acted as consultant to a number of health-care and public interest law non-profit associations in the Washington, D.C., area, where he was responsible for financial resource development, marketing strategy, and capital campaign development. His capital campaigns have involved such well-known foundations as the The Samuel and Saidye Bronfman Family Foundation, The Dell Foundation, and The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
"Working as director of development for the Association of Community Cancer Centers is a wonderful opportunity to help promote the advocacy efforts and educational programs that ACCC brings to its members," said Mr. Demske.
"We are thrilled to have Rob join our team at such an exciting time. He will help us better communicate our vision and mission to both industry and to foundations," said Christian G. Downs, MHA, JD, ACCC’s Executive Director. "Rob's extensive background affords ACCC the opportunity to benefit from his expertise in fundraising, marketing, and strategic planning."
Mr. Demske received his Juris Doctor from the Franklin Pierce Law Center in Concord, N.H.
