Ms. Mary HardinCancer Program Narrative Description:
The CMH Cancer Center is a community partnership comprised of the physicians from Duke University Health Systems in conjunction with CMH. Comprehensive services available at the center or at Community Memorial Healthcenter include advanced cancer treatments such as chemotherapy, laboratory, pharmacy, diagnostic x-ray, nutritional support, counseling, social services and supportive services.
At the CMH Cancer Center, we offer most of the treatments options a cancer patient may need at one central location. This allows better management and control of your treatment by your cancer specialists. It also provides convenience for you and your family.
Two important needs in fighting cancer are to receive the best possible treatment and to have the support of your family, friends and medical team. Our goal is to help you face the challenge of cancer by delivering the best possible care in a comfortable atmosphere.
CMH and Duke University Health System physicians understand the intricacy of the disease and the importance of recognizing the special needs of cancer patients and their families. The physicians and staff of CMH Cancer and Specialty Care Center link the advanced cancer treatments and clinical research with supportive services to help face the disease head on.
Nurses at the CMH Cancer and Specialty Care Center attend to all the needs of our patients and their families, often forming long- term relationships. This approach translates into excellent patient care and a supportive environment within a state-of-the-art facility. We believe that oncology offers continuous opportunities for learning. Our team is comprised of a wide range of nurses with various backgrounds, including oncology nurse certification.
