Ms. Tina BiasellaProfile:
Founded in 1892, Aultman Hospital is dedicated to comprehensive, quality care. Aultman serves Canton and the surrounding five-county area. The cancer registry was begun in 1983 and follows more than 4,700 cases annually. Services include a dedicated oncology unit (1975), outpatient infusion center, participation in NCI-approved clinical trials (1987), home care/hospice (1985), state-of-the-art radiation oncology and radiology centers, a breast care center (1995), and weekly cancer conferences. Cancer support, education, screening, and prevention programs are offered to professionals, the community, and employees.
The Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons granted a Three-Year Approval with Commendation to Aultman's Cancer Program in May 2008. Aultman Hospital has been designated as a Comprehensive Community Hospital Cancer Center with Commendation since 1986.
The Aultman Breast Care Center is Stark County's only ‘Center of Excellence’ designated by the American College of Radiology. Our Inpatient Palliative Care Unit is also Stark County's only; it opened in October 2008. It currently has six beds with planned expansion in the near future. The Regional Cancer Center in Dover, Ohio is a satellite Radiation Oncology Center that serves Tuscarawas County.
Our Annual Cancer Screening day occurs on April 25th 2009 from 8am-12noon by appointment only. Please call 1-888-227-6446 to schedule your appointment.
