Learning Objectives

At the end of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Summarize recent advances in the management of various cancers, such as HER2-positive breast cancer, diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, and gastrointestinal malignancies.
  2. Describe clear, brown, and white bagging and the strategies to navigate these insurer-mandated practices for dispensing medications. 
  3. Discuss barriers to care for underserved populations, including social determinants of health, and their role in overcoming these barriers.  
  4. Define value-based care.
  5. Evaluate how their practice can benefit from participating in value-based care and quality programs, such as the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Service’s Enhancing Oncology Model.
