Rockville, MD – The Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC) is saddened to learn of the death of John W. Yarbro, MD, PhD. Dr. Yarbro served as ACCC President 1984 to 1985. Along with the small group of physicians who came together to found ACCC, Dr. Yarbro was an early advocate for expanding cancer care into the community. He passed away on April 13, 2020, at age 88.
