September 23, 2024

On September 9, 2024, ACCC submitted comment letters to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) on the proposed physician fee schedule (PFS) and hospital outpatient prospective payment system (OPPS) regulations. Among other topics, ACCC asked CMS to remain open to discuss any issues that arise with implementation of the principal illness navigation (PIN) codes and other codes to reimburse for patient navigation services. ACCC also supported the proposed add-on payment for high-cost drugs delivered in the hospital outpatient departments of Indian Health Service (IHS) hospitals and tribal hospitals.
