Clinical Trial Resources

The following websites allow you to search for multiple myeloma clinical trials. In addition, individual cancer centers and hospitals that conduct clinical trials may maintain listings of those trials on their websites.

• National Cancer Institute
  The National Cancer Institute (NCI) maintains a list of 8,000 open trials.  The list includes trials supported by NCI, pharmaceutical companies, academic institutions, and other research organizations.  A video guide for completing the online search form is available and assistance is also available through a toll-free number and LiveHelp online chat options.

• National Institutes of Health
  Launched in 2000 and developed by the National Library of Medicine, ClinicalTrials.gov is a service of the NIH and a registry and results database of publicly and privately supported clinical trials.  The database contains studies being conducted in all 50 states and internationally in more than 150 countries.

• CenterWatch
  A comprehensive listing of Industry-sponsored trials being conducted in the U.S. and internationally.  The database is searchable by disease, therapeutic area, or location.  A free Patient Notification Service is available that will automatically email a patient as soon as a clinical trial is posted that matches the medical condition and geographic area that is specified.  Other patient education resources are available.

• American Cancer Society – Clinical Trial Matching Service
  This is a free, program that helps patients and providers find cancer clinical trials. Through a partnership with eviti, Inc., ACS locates treatment trials as well as prevention and detection trials based on information supplied through an online screening questionnaire.

• Coalition of Cancer Cooperative Groups
  The Coalition is comprised of members from 10 NCI-sponsored Cooperative Groups, leading patient advocacy organizations, and oncology and cancer research specialists.  Using the database, TrialCheck®, Cancer Trials Help is designed to increase awareness of, and participation in, cancer clinical trials.  Searches can be done using an online screening questionnaire or trials can be found through the searchable lookup screen by trial ID, title, disease, location, or other specific information.  Assistance is available via a toll-free number.

• Lymphoma Research Foundation
  This site provides links to other organizations for clinical trial searching, search tips, and other information related to the search process for patients. In addition, resources including fact sheets, video podcasts, and webcasts are available.

• International Myeloma Foundation
  This site offers free patient education materials and publications and clinical trial information for patients and health professionals. Using the database, EmergingMed, patients and health professionals can search for trials based on eligibility criteria in the U.S. and Canada.

• Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation
  This site information on clinical trials.  Searches can be done by disease stage, treatment, and other options. View https://myeloma.trialx.com/ask for more information.

• Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
  This site offers links to clinical trials resources as well as a wealth of patient education material.
