ACCC Launches CANCER BUZZ TV

Rockville, MD - The Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC) today announced the launch of CANCER BUZZ TV, its video podcast channel aimed at informing oncology professionals of the latest developments in cancer care.

CANCER BUZZ TV takes deep dives into emergent issues in oncology, including health equity, COVID-19 care modifications, precision medicine and novel treatments, telehealth, financial navigation, payment models, supportive services, geriatric care, and more. Each episode is designed to deliver timely information to busy cancer care providers in 15 minutes or less. CANCER BUZZ TV is available for mobile download and viewing on the ACCC website, YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Overcast, and Pocket Casts.

“The last year demonstrated that the oncology community needs timely access to developing information, as situations evolve at a rapid pace. Digital learning has never been more important, as it increases access to education for all care team members,” said Krista Nelson, MSW, LCSW, OSW-C, FAOSW, ACCC President. “CANCER BUZZ TV is another resource to expand the reach of ACCC’s award-winning educational content and meet the busy cancer care team where they are and with the time they have—something that has become even more important in the post-COVID environment.”

The first episode features Krista Nelson discussing her theme “Real World Lessons from COVID-19: Driving Oncology Forward.” The theme focuses on health equity and social justice; escalating the need for high reach, high impact psychosocial and supportive care services; and developing and strengthening a culture that supports professional well-being and resilience.

CANCER BUZZ TV joins ACCC’s suite of educational resources for the oncology care professional, including the peer-reviewed journal, Oncology Issues, the CANCER BUZZ podcast, and a host of educational tools, live and virtual conferences, webinars, and effective practice publications.
