Hawaii Our Care, Our Choice Act

Enacted in 2019, the Hawaii Our Care, Our Choice Act allows mentally capable, terminally ill adults with six months or less to live to request medical aid-in-dying medication from their doctor—which they self-administer if their suffering becomes unbearable—to bring about a peaceful death.
