Long Island’s premier academic medical center, Stony Brook Medicine represents Stony Brook University’s entire medical enterprise and serves Southampton Hospital and Phillips Family Cancer Center in Southampton.

The APP will report to the Div Chief of Hem/Onc. Responsibilities include PFCC:

• Independently assess and evaluate patients with benign hematology
• Provide outpatient follow-up
• Provide cross coverage for infusion center when needed
• Provide Southampton Hospital coverage as needed.
• Write orders for chemotherapy and renew prescriptions.
• Review, evaluate, + make recommendations regarding findings
• Manage patient phone calls
• Provide care for sick walk-ins
• Educate patients and family's regarding diagnoses and therapies
• Participation in tumor boards
• Rotational weekend and post-hours phone coverage

Req Qual: NP: Current NYS RN license. Master's degree in Nursing. NYS license and certification as an ANP or FNP.

PA: NYS license and certification as a PA. Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of Physician Assistants.

Pref Qual: Exp in the MGT treatment of cancer and hematology patients. Excellent communication skills. Experience with chemotherapy.
