The Importance of Clinical Trials to Treat Blood Cancer: e-Course

LLS-Clinical-Trails-BC-2304x648

Attend this free e-course to learn more about clinical trials as a treatment option for patients with blood cancer. Kelly Laschinger, MSN, RN, CPNP, CPHON, manager of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS’s) Clinical Trial Support Center (CTSC) in Rye Brook, New York, and Steven Tsai, MD, PhD, hematologist at UCLA Health Cancer Care in Los Angeles, California, will discuss the CTSC created by LLS and the importance of clinical trials as treatment options for patients with blood cancer.

The CTSC is a free clinical trial nurse navigation system for these patients, their families, and health care providers. This service focuses on building awareness of clinical trials as a treatment option to help patients and their health care team make informed decisions. The goal also is to minimize barriers and assist patients in enrollment if they decide the clinical trial approach is right for them.

This 0.5 hour e-course offers 0.5 CE contact hours for nurses and 0.5 CME credit for physicians and will be available for free until May 6, 2025. This course is primarily intended for oncologists and hematologists, advanced practice providers, and nurses involved in the care of patients in community and academic practices.
